International Labour Organisation (ILO)
In the era of worker displacement, the thin line between a migrant worker and an asylum seeker often goes unnoticed, creating a protection shortfall in the global labour market. ILO Conventions 97 and 143 institute prevention of abuse in migration systems, however, regulations are underperforming as countries misuse the existence of work permits and implement laws under the guise of social security to restrict immigration. Delegates will tackle critical questions and bring their voices to the forefront of discussion. This committee exists to summon those who are enthusiastic about bringing a change in the perspective of international worker rights and aim for social justice within the fragmented global economy.
Rhea Khanolka

Adv. Rhea Khanolkar is a social activist, TEDx speaker, and law graduate from the prestigious Government Law College, Mumbai, where she has also served as the President of the GLC Student Council. She is a part of the Young Inspirators Network’s Leadership Development Program and has previously worked with one of India’s leading political consultancy firms.
Having a keen interest in National and International politics she also has her foot in the entertainment industry and slight inclination towards journalism. Beyond her professional pursuits, she actively contributes to various social initiatives, NGOs, and community driven organizations in Mumbai.
An accomplished public speaker, she has participated in and won several national-level Youth Parliament and Model United Nations competitions. Ms. Rhea Khanolkar is a dynamic individual with a passion for making the change and creating a positive impact on society. Summing it up, she is a good definition of “beauty with brains”.

As the Vice Chair of the International Labour Organization (ILO) at GCMUN, he looks forward to fostering insightful debate, encouraging diplomacy, and creating a committee where every delegate has the opportunity to excel.
