The United Nations Security Council
The United Nations Security Council is charged with ensuring international peace and security. They recommend the admission of new UN members to the general assembly, approve any changes to the UN charter, authorise military action and much more responsibilities. With such power, questions arise whether there is effective decision making by the council at all times? The delegates need to examine functionality of UNSC in the aspect of effective decision making, with evident emphasis on the reforms and impediments arising from utilisation of the veto powers by the permanent members.
