Conference of the Parties '31 (COP’31)

As temperatures continue to rise worldwide and extreme weather conditions become more frequent, COP'31 gains significance. At this turning point, the first Global Stocktake has revealed how far the world remains from meeting the targets set in the Paris Agreement. In this committee, delegates will represent nations as they review national climate plans and hence draft resolutions in order to bridge the growing gap between objectives and real world outcomes. Negotiations will address the implementation of renewable energy resources, decreasing dependency on fossil fuels, organising funding for developing countries and balancing energy security. Through insightful discourse, practical policies and strategies must be developed to strengthen climate action and ensure accountability around the globe.
COP’31 challenges delegates to confront urgent environmental realities and work together to keep the 1.5°C pathway alive.
